Vibert Noble | Keen Supporter of Several Charities

Vibert Noble, who has lived in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir with his wife for the last four years, makes regular donations to Kenya’s Mercy Rescue Trust and the ShareTheMeal initiative run by the UN’s World Food Programme. The latter allows people to use an app to donate to individuals in need of emergency food aid, and the World Food Programme subsequently delivers the donated meals. The project is currently supporting people in locations including Sudan and Palestine, with the aim of ending hunger.

About Vibert Noble

Born in Guyana, Vibert moved with his parents to the UK as a child and remains living there today. He recently visited Guyana for just the second time since leaving and stayed for a fortnight in the country’s Rupununi region, meeting many Amerindians and learning more about the area. He also found out about about the work of Eiripan, a non-profit organisation on a mission to raise the literacy rate of the area’s children. It’s estimated that around 1,000 children benefit from this organisation’s projects each year.

Travels

Vibert is an avid traveller and has visited some really interesting locations, including Svalbard, South Africa, the Faroe Isles and Lapland. He has undertaken several road trips in the United States, taking in the Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks and the Grand Canyon, and experienced a fantastic train journey on the California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco. This train trip is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in North America, climbing through the Rockies to Salt Lake City before continuing on through Reno and Sacramento. Along with his wife, Vibert regularly holidays in La Palma (one of the smaller Canary Islands), appreciating the beautiful walks and the dark night skies of this location. A keen star gazer, Vibert always packs an 80 mm refractor telescope or 15 x 50 IS pair of binoculars in his suitcase ahead of a trip.
